About WHLI Program

Leaders from corporate, non-profit and community organizations apply to participate in a 10-month program to learn and dialogue about issues that affect West Houston. In addition to a full- day Opening and Closing Retreat, participants meet monthly for a half-day to explore focus areas such as Education, Healthcare, Quality of Life and Transportation.
Experts from these areas present information, provide tours and engage in fishbowl dialogues with the class.  Each class is challenged to organize a project that will benefit the community.
