Susan Thompson

Susan currently serves as the Program Director for Engineering & STEM Initiatives at Houston Community College. In addition to community outreach, program development and special events, she is the Project Manager for the UH/HCC Engineering Academy which has two locations: at Katy and at Fraga Eastside, which is close to downtown Houston.

Susan and her husband Phillip, moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2012. She was the Co-Operator and Owner of a Hot Air Balloon Management & Event Company and created the Tulsa Alliance for Engineering. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the West Houston Leadership Institute and the US Fab Lab Network. She is also actively involved in the Houston West Chamber of Commerce as a Board Member, and serves on the Salute to Veterans Committee and the Business & Education Committee.
